Florence Sunrise Elopement

Florence, Italy. Autumn. Sunrise. Lots of film.

Florence possesses an embarrassment of riches — stunning medieval architecture, an enviable location straddling the Arno, and incredible food. The question isn’t why to elope in Florence, but where exactly?

Ponte Santa Trinita is one of my favorite places in Florence. It actually gives you a view of the famous Ponte Vecchio, is surrounded by stunning buildings, and has some gorgeous statues. In a central area, it’s very easy to walk if you have a central hotel or have a car drop you off. We were bathed in golden light as the sun rose over the Arno.

Some tips for eloping at this location: Florence is a popular city and can get very crowded. Luckily, sunrise gives you some of the best light and you are there before the crowds. Wear comfortable shoes if you want to cover a lot of locations. It gets chilly! Bring a jacket, I’ll carry it for you.
